Chai Tea Latte Oatmeal
With blueberries

The two things that scream cozy autumn morning are chai tea lattes and a warm bowl of oatmeal. So, why not both? 
This was healthy, delicious, and comforting in every imagineable way. I truly hope some of you give it a try, and if you do, take a picture and tag me on Instagram!

I paired my oatmeal with some coconut yoghurt for a creamy latte feel, and some blueberries, because in my opinion, nothing pairs better with tea than blueberries! 

This recipe is free of dairy, gluten, eggs, nuts, soy, oil, refined sugars, and artificial sweeteners/flavours.

It doesn't get more wholesome than that!

Yield: 2 servings 

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups water 
1 cup rolled oats
2 chai or black tea bags
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Pinch of cloves
Pinch of ginger 
(Or a chai spice mix)
~1 tsp coconut sugar
1 mashed banana
~1/2 cup plain coconut yoghurt 
~1/2 cup blueberries


Instructions:

1. Bring the water to a boil and add the tea bags for about 5 minutes. 
2. Once brewed, remove tea bags and add the oats, and spices. 
3. After the oatmeal is thick, add the mashed banana and stir thoroughly.
4. Serve in two bowls, and top with a dollop of coconut yoghurt, blueberries, a sprinkle of coconut sugar, and some extra cinnamon.
