Gingerbread-oat 'Pear'fait (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy-free)

Gingerbread - Oat 'Pear'fait

Gingerbread is such a comforting flavour. For most of us, it's one used just for cookies, but no longer. Gingerbread oatmeal is absolutely fantastic, and healthy as well!
Cinnamon is an amazing spice that's been known to regulate blood sugar, so it's perfect to add to your breakfast. Ginger is another spice that's perfect in the morning, because it aids your body in good digestion, and prevents nausea. Lastly, blackstrap molasses is a great source of healthy iron, calcium, and magnesium. Plus, it adds a bit of sweetness, but has a very low glycemic index and won't spike your blood sugar.
Oatmeal is a perfect addition to this recipe because it's full of complex carbohydrates to energise the body, it will keep you full for hours, and it also is beneficial in lowering cholesterol! None of the ingredients in this recipe contain cholesterol, so it will really help your body get ahead.
Lastly, coconut yoghurt is absolutely fantastic and a perfect addition to breakfast. Made with coconut milk, the yoghurt is dairy free and won't cause any digestive issues! In fact, since it's rich in probiotics, it will only make digestion smoother, and keep your gut healthy. Can't forget about that gut! :)
